ECO TOURS (BIRDING)
ECO-TOURS are geared toward those interested in floating down the Au Sable or Manistee rivers taking in the flora and fauna without fishing. This is especially beneficial for “birders” in the spring and fall when area bird species are migrating.
I am not a birder but I love the outdoors and all flora and fauna in northern Michigan. Upon request, I will stop the boat so guests may observe and or listen to the flora and fauna. The following are my guided float durations and rates, for one or two clients:
- Half-Day Float (4-5 hours) – $350
- Full Day Float (7-9 hours) – $450
Clients are responsible for bringing their own personal items such as cameras, binoculars, rain gear, snacks/meals, beverages other than water, etc. A fishing license is not required and no fishing gear will be on the boat. Water will be provided.
I am a certified USCG Captain and trained in Infant/Child/Adult American Red Cross First Aid. The boat is equipped with life jackets and First Aid equipment, should the need arise.
Instructional Rates (aside from guiding trips)- $100/Hour
